Thailand's Prime Minister is determined to turn Phuket into a superyacht centre, and legislative reforms resulted in the country's first foreign-flagged superyacht charter licence being given in September. The new laws are likely to boost the number of luxury yacht charters in Thailand and attract more private boats to the country.
