There are approximately 115 islands in the Seychelles, which are split into two groups: the Inner Islands and the Outer Islands. The Seychelles are a group of islands about 1,600-1,750 kilometres off the coast of East Africa, with the majority of them only a few degrees off the equator. Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Anonyne, Aride, Bird Island, Cerf, Chauve Souris, and Conception are the sixteen Inner Islands.
Except for the Trade Winds from October to March, all of the islands have a tropical temperature all year, and sailing is excellent in the calm seas that protect diving and snorkelling. Apart from the world-famous sandy beaches, there are several unique attractions for guests on a luxury sailing or motor yacht.
