The Adriatic Sea has become a new hotspot for cruising. With over 1,000 miles of magnificent coastline to explore and some of the most picturesque and historically significant islands to discover, it's easy to see why locations on the east coast like Croatia and Montenegro farther south appeal to charterers eager to widen their horizons. Many of Croatia's off-the-beaten-path islands are lovely, especially those off the Dalmatian coast, where you can almost always find a quiet spot to drop anchor and enjoy the peace and quiet or a moderate dip from your boat.
Montenegro's palm-lined beaches and beautiful mountainous background have preserved much of the country's mediaeval architecture. Beautiful mediaeval coastal villages like Budva and Sveti Stefan, as well as a slew of hidden beaches and anchorages, are all waiting to be ‘found.'
